A FEW WORDS ABOUT ME

I left Poland at the age of 14 and went straight to a regular US High School (liceum) in San Jose, California. After graduation and some college programs I decided to return to my country of origin.

I currently have over twenty years experience with English - seven of which I spent tutoring students - and use English more often than Polish. What began for me before High School continued on and became a hobby of mine, which I turned into teaching.

After ten years on the job I opened a school for conversational language development in Warsaw http://www.centrum-konwersacji.pl/ but I still enjoy giving private lessons, too!

A FEW WORDS ABOUT MY TEACHING

Because I am bilingual it is easy for me to help you understand some idiomatic words and phrases better by giving a Polish counterpart. Although I do not use Polish in conversations as a rule, sometimes it speeds things up and gives you a better picture.

I have broad experience in where Polish speakers make mistakes in English usage, which allows me to eliminate those errors quickly. Do not say "eventually" when you mean "ewentualnie" or use Polish structure like "How to say it in English?" when you mean "How do you say it in English?".

For those of you conscientious about different varieties of the English language, I can guide you in the differences between the US and GB English.
